In 2027, the Municipal Association’s Hometown Legislative Action Day will take place February 10 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
While this follows the timeline that HLAD often uses, local officials filling out their calendars for 2027 should note that the Municipal Association’s Annual Meeting, which typically takes place in July, will take place at a later-than-usual date next year: August 18 – 22 at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach.
At the beginning of the legislative session, HLAD provides a time for municipal officials from around the state to come together in Columbia for updates on current legislative issues, to visit their legislators at the State House and to connect with legislators at the Association’s legislative reception. Coming the day after HLAD, the Municipal Elected Officials Institute of Government will take place February 11, also at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
