A new application, RoleTrack, is now available for members to assign or update SCMIT and SCMIRF primary and secondary roles online. In the past, SCMIT and SCMIRF members had to contact RMS staff to request changes to SCMIT or SCMIRF roles for their municipality. This new application provides a simple but powerful way to close communication gaps and ensure the right people always get the right information.

RoleTrack can be accessed from the member home page after logging in at www.masc.sc. It is located below the Training Programs tile on the home page.
Having accurate contact information is essential for providing SCMIT and SCMIRF members with key information. Important information such as monthly reports, annual reviews, training opportunities, renewal information, invoices and many other electronic communications are sent based on the SCMIT and SCMIRF roles assigned to municipal employees.
The SCMIT and SCMIRF main and secondary contacts will have rights to update the roles in RoleTrack. A new RoleTrack manager option is also available if someone other than the main and secondary contact should be allowed to make edits. This role has been automatically assigned to the clerk at each municipality. Municipal staff without these roles have view only access to see who are assigned the roles for their municipality.
Members are encouraged to log into RoleTrack to review their existing roles to determine if any updates should be made. The main page lists any required roles that are vacant, as well as basic contact information that should be updated. It also displays the municipal staff who are authorized to make updates.
The SCMIT and SCMIRF tabs have two different views. The “manage by roles” view is used to add or update the roles. There is also functionality to add new employees and terminate employees who are no longer employed at the municipality. There is a description of each role as well as the number of individuals that can be assigned to a specific role. “View by contacts” allows the user to view municipal staff and their assigned roles.
The option to assign one contact to all roles will be beneficial to smaller municipalities who have a limited number of employees.
A procedure guide, information sheet and tutorial video can be accessed online. Members are encouraged to review before attempting to make updates in RoleTrack.
