Waste Management Collector, Town of Mount Pleasant
Performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor Collects garbage and trash throughout the town in a safe and efficient manner Represents the Town and interacts with the public on a daily basis Performs other duties as assigned that relate to Construction and Demolition (C&D) or Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Provides assistance to other Divisions within the Department and other Town departments as directed Performs other duties as required
High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months prior work experience Valid South Carolina Drivers License Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of operation and maintenance of Division equipment and effective practices and techniques Knowledge of department safety practices and techniques Knowledge of various department tools and equipment Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form Ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a detailed and accurate manner
Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees Ability to work independently or as part of a team Ability to work under adverse weather conditions.
