Office Assistant/Cashier, Town of Hemingway
This position combines cashier responsibilities with general office duties, requiring strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Key Responsibilities: • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Cashier Duties: • Process cash, credit card, and check transactions accurately. • Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly. • Balance the cash register and prepare bank deposits. • Greet customers and provide friendly, efficient service. • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues. • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. • Office Assistant Duties: • Answer phones, take messages, and screen calls. • Assist with mail sorting and distribution.
• Assist customers with various paperwork and forms at the front window. • Assist with any other office-related task deemed necessary by the Town Administrator or the Town Clerk. • Follow all company policies and procedures. • Maintain a positive and professional attitude. Skills and Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Excellent customer service skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Basic computer skills, including data entry and record-keeping. • Ability to work accurately and efficiently. • Ability to handle cash and credit
