Public Works Team Member , Town of Williston
Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of municipal water lines Respond to water main breaks and service line issues Operate hand and power tools for excavation, pipe repair, and restoration Assist in locating underground utilities Perform hydrant flushing and basic system inspections
Perform general maintenance of town buildings, parks, streets, and public spaces Conduct street patching, signage repair, snow removal, and debris cleanup Maintain town vehicles and equipment Mow, trim, and maintain public grounds Assist with special projects and seasonal work as assigned
Participate in scheduled on-call rotation, including nights and weekends Respond promptly to emergencies such as water leaks, storm damage, or public safety hazards Operate equipment during emergency situations
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license Experience in public works, construction, plumbing, or related field preferred Ability to operate light and medium-duty equipment (backhoe, dump truck, skid steer, etc.) Basic knowledge of water distribution systems preferred Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding labor
