This mid-level supervisor works under the general supervision of the Training Lieutenant. They exercise responsibility for enforcing all State laws, Town ordinances, and department rules, policies, orders, and procedures relating to public safety and welfare. Work involves performing duties as senior-level supervisors over subordinate-level officers, and may be assigned to special activity for the Moncks Corner Police Department. The Training Sergeant will plan, create, develop, organize, direct, control, lead, instruct, assign, support, train, evaluate the performance, and recognize the

outstanding work performance of personnel assigned to the police department. The Training Sergeant will develop and create the training foundation for department employees. In addition, they will plans daily operations, responds to complex crimes or criminal matters, provides directions on police-related subjects, and performs routine police administrative duties. The Training Sergeant exercises independent judgment in dealing with dangerous and unusual situations while ensuring the best safety practices and procedures are followed.
