Job Duties

This position requires that an applicant must have considerable knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles; working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations; working knowledge of the methods, materials and tools used in street maintenance, solid waste collection work, and water/sewer repairs.

Drives trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling, and unloading of various equipment, sanitation, recycling, brush and etc.

Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards. Other duties as prescribed by the Public Works Director and Assistant Public Works Director.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

A valid South Carolina Driver’s License, and a minimum South Carolina CDL Class B with air brakes are required.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background check.

Pay Info
Minimum yearly salary range from $32,482 to $48,723 with a starting salary of $40,603 along with a great benefits package.
