Under general supervision, exercises responsibilities for the law enforcement of state and local laws relating to public safety and welfare. Exercises supervision over Duncan Police Department officers assigned during their respective shift. Exercises independent judgment in dealing with dangerous or unusual situations, exercising safety practices and procedures. Works under stressful, high-risk situations, and various weather conditions. May be exposed to various bodily fluid exposures and required to wear specialized personal protective equipment.

Tasks require the ability to operate, maneuver, and/or control the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials, commensurate with duties of the position. III.
