Firefighter-Engineer, City of Lake City
Performs Fire Suppression and Emergency Medical Responder duties on assigned shift. Maintains records and prepares reports as required. Cleans and maintains fire/rescue apparatus, equipment, station and grounds; tests fire hoses and fire hydrants; maintains emergency response equipment in a constant state of readiness. Attends training, seminars, and maintains required certifications.
Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent and must have a valid SC driver’s license, IFSAC Firefighter I Certification, CPR-First Aid Certification, and Emergency Medical Responder Certification. May be required to obtain other technical certifications as deemed necessary, must be physically able to perform all firefighter duties.
