Controller, City of Florence
The Controller performs, under limited supervision, a wide variety of professional financial management duties in the coordination and supervision of City cash management, accounting, payroll, accounts payable, investment, procurement, inventory control, grants and financial reporting functions.
The Controller plans, organizes, and implements programs within major organizational policies, reporting program progress to executive-level administration through reports and conferences. Work includes professional financial planning, coordination, control, and reporting tasks, as well as the supervision of support staff. This position reports to the Finance Director.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, financial management, or a related field supplemented by three (3) to five (5) years accounting experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferable
Valid South Carolina driver’s license
