Flexible - 2 days per week 4 hours per day with an occasional 4 hours on a Saturday
Job Duties

Enforces city codes and ordinances for noise, litter, parking, and licenses. Patrols city to check for business licenses, parking restriction violations, property maintenance issues, noise violations, litter violations, unlicensed vehicles, parking of trailers in residential areas, zoning and sign violations, and emergency alarms. Writes warnings, prepares reports, issues court summons, and subpoenas as required for noted violations.

Provides testimony in court if necessary. Provide monthly reports to his/her supervisor regarding codes enforcement. Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age with a valid South Carolina Driver’s License. No felony convictions and pass a thorough background check. Must possess state mandated certifications in designated areas within prescribed time period. Must be able to read and write the English language and have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be of good moral character and of temperate and industrious habits.

Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication skills with all types of persons Prior experience in code enforcement with a city or county Knowledge of state laws and city ordinances

 

Pay Info
$20.07 per hour to $25.00 per hour
