Procurement & Inventory Division Chief, City of Conway
Under the regular supervision of the Finance Director, this position is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities and managing inventory for the municipality in accordance with South Carolina state laws, local ordinances, and established procurement policies. The position ensures cost-effect purchasing, proper recordkeeping, vendor compliance, and accurate tracking of municipal assets, supplies and materials. Performs difficult professional and administrative work in planning, organizing and directing the procurement activities of the Municipality and other duties as required.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field with two (2) or more years of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, supervisory experience, RFP and RFQ experience or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
