Position Hours
7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, M-F; with additional hours as needed due to weather, City events, etc.
Job Duties

·Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, recommending disciplinary actions and completing employee performance evaluations. Coordinates, assigns, and reviews work and establishes work schedules. Monitors status of work in progress. Inspects completed work assignments. Answers questions and gives direction as needed. Performs general office/clerical work preparing reports and correspondence, compiling data, assisting with budget preparation.

Performs streets maintenance such as mowing, trimming, tree removal, chemical applications, litter control, weed control, patching asphalt, fixing sidewalks and driveway entrances, repairing storm water issues, etc. ·Receives/reviews/enters tasks and work orders, vehicle reports, general office correspondence; maintains inventory control. Oversees OSHA compliance standards. Develops specifications and receives quotes for bids/purchases. Provides support for after-hours events and on call support. May act as lead supervisor in absence of Public Service Superintendent.

Adheres to policy, codes, laws, regulations. Utilizes various tools, machinery, vehicles, power equipment.

Qualifications

· High school or GED equivalent. · Two (2) years of experience in labor or trades work. · Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and construction; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. · Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history
