Question: How to determine the claim number for a recently submitted claim?
Answer: When SCMIRF claims are entered online, an incident number is provided. Once the claim is reviewed and approved by the SCMIRF claims manager, a claim number is assigned. SCMIRF and SCMIT members can review claims submitted in the last 30 days in Gateway, the online claims submission application. On the landing page in Gateway, there is a tile named “Claims Last 30 Days.” It can also be accessed in the top right corner by clicking on the the dashboard/report selector icon (or second icon in the grouping). There is an option named “See my claims in the past 30 days.” Both SCMIT and SCMIRF claims submitted in the past 30 days will be listed. Members can view basic claims information such as claim number, examiner and claim financials.
