Job Duties

Coordinates, plans, and supervises programs and rentals within the Recreation Division. Assists and may lead in the administering of other recreation programs. Supervises Recreation Division Staff in absence of Recreation Supervisor. Coordinates programs and processes and makes decisions in accordance with established rules and regulations, policies and procedures, and guidelines; participates in the development of department/division rules, policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and priorities. Helps with maintaining records and prepares reports of work activities;

collects data to coordinate program activities with other Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department programs and rentals; oversees and inspects work of private contractors. Assists in planning and organizing department events, special program division events, and other annual events. Helps to investigate complaints; develops notification letters and other public information materials; serves as liaison to user groups, civic groups, clubs, and other departments. Assists Recreation Supervisor with the preparation of the division/department budget; prepares and submits budget for assigned division

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in recreation, physical education, Parks, Recreation & Tourism Management, or related field. Two (2) years’ experience in recreation or related field or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must have a valid state issued driver’s license. Must obtain basic first aid and CPR training, fire extinguisher training, AED training, and Bloodborne Pathogens training certificates.

Minimum $47,620 on an annual basis; dependent on experience
