Job Duties

responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and long-term planning of the Public Works Department, including water, sewer and wastewater operations, parks and recreation, street and sanitation services, stormwater system and fleet and equipment maintenance.

Collaborate with the City Administrator, City Council, and other departments on infrastructure planning and improvement projects

Maintain compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards

Qualifications

SC DES Licensing is required at the following levels: “B” Biological Wastewater, “C” Water Distribution, “D” Water Treatment

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Public Works with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership role

Knowledge of ADA compliance standards, stormwater regulations, and public procurement practices
