Job Duties

Professional administrative and financial tasks to support the efficient operation of the Elloree Water System. This role encompasses accounting, budgeting, human resources, and occasional customer service duties, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Financial Management: Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable, biweekly payroll, cash flow management, and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly and quarterly tax reports.

• Budgeting: Lead the annual budgeting process, develop financial plans, and present reports to the Commissioners. • Grant Management: Assist with grant applications, compliance, and reporting. • Meeting Support: Prepare agendas and reports for monthly Commissioner meetings, record and transcribe meeting minutes, and ensure timely distribution. • Human Resources: Manage employee onboarding, including insurance and retirement enrollment. Maintain employee records, address personnel issues, and escalate concerns to Commissioners as needed.

• Customer Service: Serve as backup for customer service, answering phones, processing payments, and addressing inquiries. • Professional Development: Attend meetings, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and standard office equipment (computers, copiers, calculators). • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, customers, and contractors. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. • Knowledge of payroll, tax reporting, and human resources processes preferred.
