Job Duties

Plans and conducts recreational activities for community members of all ages. Supervises fields/parks during athletic programming events. Opens and closes parks when athletic programming is scheduled. Inspects athletic complexes and fields prior to programming. Observes officials, volunteers, participants, and patrons during athletic programming events. Prepares facility for planned events – includes cleaning. Ensures facility is maintained and safe procedures are followed. Advertises upcoming events. Monitors recreational events.

Supervises gym activities, recreation center activities, and programs. Maintains equipment and supplies. Performs clerical duties. Answers inquiries on upcoming events. Trains volunteers to conduct events and safety procedures. Completes reports for injury, accidents, and other incidents. Enforces rules and standards for each site or park during athletic programming events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED. • Must be at least 18 years old. • Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. • Must obtain defensive driving training, basic first aid & CPR training, fire extinguisher training, AED training, and Bloodborne Pathogens Training certificates. • Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.

Minimum $16.54 hourly; dependent on experience
