Job Duties

The Events and Marketing Manager plans, organizes, and administers all HPRT special events, marketing and some programming for the citizens of Hardeeville and the surrounding areas. This role is responsible for promoting and executing large and small scale special events to include but not limited to Festival on Main, 4th off Main, Trunk or Treat, Earth Day, Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Parade, Merry on Main, and more that enhance the quality of life in the community while managing the department's marketing efforts, to include but not limited to social media, website content, and promotional ma

Plans, organizes and administers special programs and community events. • Working with the community to develop new and innovative programing while seeking partnership opportunities for more community involvement and less duplication of services. • Plans and implements short, long term and annual goals, objectives, and strategies for programming and special event enhancement and growth. • Develops, communicates, and monitors policies, procedures, and standards for the PRT Department in accordance with national standards for all programs and events. • Oversees REC DESK community portal.

Qualifications

Typical Qualifications: Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in the field of Recreation, Marketing, Communication, Event Management, Public Relations, or a related field. Not required but preferred: Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) and Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) Certification.
