Job Duties

The Utility Operations Director plans, directs, and supervises all programs and operations of the Utilities Department including Wastewater Treatment, Surface Water Production, Groundwater Production, Distribution Operations, Collection Operations, Compliance, Maintenance, and Stormwater Operations.

The Utility Operations Director ensures regulatory compliance for all local, state, and federal laws.

Work includes planning, coordination, and oversight of Utility administration and operations as well as the supervision of subordinate professional, technical, and support staff. This position reports to the City Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, natural sciences, or a related field supplemented by ten years of professional and managerial experience in utilities operations. Master’s degree and strong experience in a regulatory environment preferred.

Valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Pay Info
Salaried: $107,215.56 - $125,620.12 depending on qualifications; 2080 hours/week
