Supervisor-Distribution Operations, City of Florence
The Distribution Operations Supervisor coordinates, supervises and participates in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the City’s water and sewer systems, and performs other technical, administrative and supervisory work as required.
Work includes the coordination and supervision of utility system installation, maintenance and repair activities, as well as the supervision of subordinate equipment operators and maintenance staff.
The Supervisor reports to the Distribution & Transmission Superintendent.
Associate degree in utility maintenance, engineering or related field preferred, or eight to ten years of experience in water and sewer system operations and maintenance, with management experience preferred.
“C” level water distribution and wastewater collection system operator certifications or ability to pass the exams within one year.
Valid South Carolina driver’s license.
