Revenue Coordinator, City of Simpsonville
Maintains file system of various files/records, performs customer service functions, receives moneys in payment of taxes, permits, business licenses and other fees; records transactions; issues receipts; checks information for accuracy; posts and amends payments in computer database; balances cash; prepares and updates daily administrative reports of fees collected; prepares and submits cash collection report; and submits related reports to appropriate personnel. On a monthly basis prepares invoices for Accounts Receivables and Reports for Licenses, Permits, and Check Registers.
Issues and renews city business licenses through Evolve software in accordance with the NAICS codes and classification. Issues building and construction permits for new residential, commercial, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.
Minimum Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required; supplemented by three years of experience in business, accounting, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Municipal government accounting experience considered a plus.
