Job Duties
Enforce the law of the state of South Carolina and municipal codes of the Town of West Union and federal laws as they apply. Respond to calls for service received through dispatch. Maintain public safety by utilizing patrol tactics. Operate police vehicle to observe violations and enforce the law. Conduct follow up investigations. Act as a liaison between the police department and community. Testify in court and prosecute criminal cases.
Qualifications
Class 1 Certified Police Officer (Out of State officers will be considered.) Clean Criminal History Clean Driving Record. Responsible work history. High School diploma or GED.
Pay Info
$42,000 per year based on a 40 hour work week. Paid weekly.
