Position Hours
The position is to work five 8-hour shifts per week. Although the officer reports directly to the Mayor, the officer will turn in time slips to the Town Clerk each week.
Job Duties

The officer is required to follow all laws of the State of South Carolina. In addition, the officer is required to complete a daily log and turn it in weekly to the Town Clerk for periodic review by the Mayor and Town Council. Traffic enforcement Enforcement of Town ordinances Enforcement of the laws of the State of South Carolina Assist other agencies when required.

Qualifications

A high school degree or equivalent is required for the position. State law mandates that the officer be certified by the State of South Carolina.
