Job Duties

Under regular supervision, performs patrol in assigned areas to enforce parking rules and regulations. Performs parking control duties including issuing citations, booting and towing vehicles.

Daily field enforcement of City ordinances and state statutes related to parking in the City of Clemson. Monitors assigned area, such as public parking lot or section of City, to issue tickets to overtime parking violators; to include all city managed parking.

Enter violations into parking enforcement software. Prepares incident reports on activities as required. Chalks tires of vehicles parked in non-metered spaces; records time; returns at specified intervals to ticket vehicles remaining in spaces illegally. Maintains contact with general public in the performance of activities; answers questions; provides directions to citizens. Carries out duties in conformance with Federal, State, County, and City laws and ordinances.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent with one year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess or be able to obtain by time of hire a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Pay Info
$15.75 - $17.75 Hourly
