Land Development Associate , City of Columbia
Evaluates permit applications, site plans, and plats for compliance with the Uniform Development Ordinance and makes recommendations for methods to achieve approval.
Confers with and advises engineers, developers, architects, surveyors, property owners and citizens in the review of development projects and in the use and enforcement of the Uniform Development ordinance and associated regulations.
Provides support to the Land Development Administrator for work related to Planning Commission and Site Plan Review Team, to include assisting in the preparation of case packets and review of meeting agendas.
Bachelor’s Degree in urban or regional planning, historic preservation, public history, architecture, or a closely related field.
One year of relevant prior experience.
Valid South Carolina Class “D” Driver’s License.
