Position Hours
Full-Time, 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday
Job Duties

Manages the full recruitment process, including preparing job postings, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and coordinating, communications with applicants Facilitate new-hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring required paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner Maintain and update employee personnel files and HRIS system Responsible for benefit administration assisting employees with enrollment, changes, and general questions; to include the SC Retirement System

Process employee status changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, and other personnel actions Processes bi-weekly payroll by ensuring accurate documentation for timesheets, leave, deductions, and personnel updates Responsible for city liability payments, quarterly taxes, annual W-2s Coordinate and prepare property and liability insurance invoices for semi-annual payment Maintain purchasing policies and procedures and assist with purchases and services for the city and responsible for ordering supplies and equipment for various departments

Maintain record and inventory of all city owned vehicles Oversee Record Retention Schedule tracking and schedule disposal of old files Investigate and complete insurance claims Serve as Safety Coordinator for Safety and Wellness Committee

Qualifications

High school diploma; Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business, or related field preferred

Prior experience in Human Resources, payroll, or administrative support (municipal or government experience a plus)

Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws
