Human Resources Director, City of Anderson
The Human Resources Director will provide guidance and assistance to the City Manager, Assistant City Manager, CFO/Finance Director along with Division Heads for all City personnel issues.
The Human Resources Director will monitor City compliance with all applicable federal and state laws pertaining to personnel matters, will manage the daily operation of the Human Resources Department, and will perform related administrative, supervisory, and professional work as required.
The Human Resources Director will work within broad policy and organizational guidelines to perform independent planning and implementation and will report progress of major activities through periodic reports, conferences, and meetings.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or a closely related field with a minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in generalist human resources work with broad knowledge of benefits administration, recruitment and employee selection, compensation and employee relations or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Experience with job classification and compensation analysis to direct wage and salary administration.
SHRM-CP or equivalent professional certification is desired. Valid driver’s license.
