Grants Administrator , City of Lake City
Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for grants, program compliance, and related reporting. Write, submit, and manage all grant proposals for the City. Oversee and assist with both pre-award and post-award activity for the assigned grant funding, including preparation of relevant planning documents, public hearings, council approvals, and meeting reporting requirements.
Conduct routine compliance reviews of active grant programs. Coordinate between the Senior Accountant and Department Staff regarding all required grant reporting, including monitoring procurement and reimbursement requests, to the awarding agency and program implementation. Maintains grant records in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and directions from funding authorities.
Collaborate with the Senior Accountant and Administration regarding the program and financial reporting process which includes, but not limited to, preparing weekly, monthly, and yearly financial reports for the Executive Staff. Protects the City’s value by keeping sensitive information discrete and confidential. Performs all other duties, as assigned.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Writing and research skills: capable of developing compelling narratives that integrate data into accurate responses to grant application criteria. Communication and verbal skills to work successfully with municipal departments, state, and federal agency representatives and the public.
Ability to work independently with strong time management skills. Planning and organizational abilities; multi-tasking, and analytical problem-solving skills.
College degree in related field and/or at least three years relevant experience or equivalent in the government administration, program management, grants management or urban planning.
