Finance Director, City of Simpsonville
The City of Simpsonville is seeking an experienced executive to serve as the Finance Director. Reporting to the City Administrator, the Finance Director will be responsible for providing leadership to the agency in developing and maintaining financial records, purchasing, and disposal of fixed assets, preparing all necessary financial reports in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations. Prepare, monitor, and/or direct the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual grant reports for submissions to various regulatory and other governmental agencies.
Expertise in the principles and practices of public agency finance, treasury, general and governmental accounting, auditing and reporting functions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related field from an accredited college or university (Master’s Degree preferred).
Five years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the public non–profit, or governmental sector
Licenses: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Government Finance Officer, or Certified Public Finance Officer credentials strongly preferred.
