Engineering Inspector II, City of North Augusta
Performs technical construction inspections Engineering and Stormwater Management departments to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Schedules and conducts construction observation, inspection and testing of new sanitary sewer collection, water supply, and storm drainage systems, roads, and other infrastructure to ensure compliance with applicable construction standards.
Conducts sediment and erosion control inspections to ensure compliance with permits and applicable regulatory standards.
Requires a Technical College diploma supplemented by two years of experience in construction and/or construction inspection; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must possess at least two SCDOT certifications or APWA Certified Public Infrastructure Inspector Certification. Must possess or be able to acquire CEPSCI certification within the first six months. Must have a valid driver’s license.
