Job Duties

Manage the City of Greer’s website including placement, regular updating, and revision of content for ongoing factual accuracy, clarity, readability, functionality, and adherence to regulations. Develop regular reports and analytics on key content engagement metrics. Create and curate social media content consistent with the City of Greer’s content pillars and disburse across multiple social media channels. Support the City of Greer’s digital marketing and communications strategy focused on engagement across social media platforms.

Support the creation and fulfillment of a social media editorial calendar. Utilize digital illustration, photo editing software, and layout software to create visually appealing designs that convey messages effectively. Develop and execute visual elements including logos, original images, and illustrations to enhance communications efforts. Collaborate with team members to design layouts for both digital platforms and print materials such as brochures, flyers, billboards, and other marketing collateral and paid advertising. Transform complex data and ideas into visually engaging graphics

Play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining visual brand guidelines for all city communications and marketing materials. Stay up-to-date with the latest software and computer technologies to remain competitive and continuously improve your design skills. The ability to collaborate with team members and a broad range of outside professionals, service providers, and stakeholders is imperative to the success of this position.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field. Two years experience as a Digital Content Creator or similar role, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Proficiency in digital illustration, photo editing software, and layout software. Familiarity with website content management systems. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, writers, and service providers. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and proactive approach to problem-solving. Must possess a valid state issued drivers’ license
