City Administrator, City of Barnwell
Directs and coordinates administration of city government in accordance with policies determined by city council or other authorized elected officials by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Provide general oversight and directions for each municipal department. Assist municipal department heads to increase effectiveness of service delivery.
Serves as Zoning Administrator, Flood Zone manager, supervises and manages personnel, procurement policy administrator, prepares annual budget, grant administration and risk management.
Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in Public Administration or similar field; or six to ten years related experience in upper level management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiar with aspects of municipal government and the duties which one will serve.
Employment is contingent upon background investigation as well as the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
