Chief of Police, Town of Jamestown
The Town of Jamestown is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to serve as Chief of Police. This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the police department in a small municipality.
Must be certified as a Level 1 Law Enforcement Officer through the South Carolina Police Academy (SCPA). Extensive knowledge and experience with Law Trak software is required. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with local government and community stakeholders. Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and community service.
Responsibilities: Manage daily operations of the police department, including personnel, budgeting, and administrative functions. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as departmental policies and procedures. Foster positive relationships with community members and other local agencies. Lead crime prevention efforts and community-oriented policing initiatives. Maintain accurate and detailed records using Law Trak software.
