Building Official, Town of Hilton Head Island
Direct the operations of the Building Division. This position ensures compliance, interpretation and enforcement all Local, State and Federal; building, plumbing electrical, mechanical, energy, fire, ADA and residential codes.
Supervise and establish work priorities of staff, delegate and assign work, provide guidance on code issues for plan reviews and field inspectors to ensure code compliance. Communicate regularly with contractors, sub-contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and citizens concerning construction requirements. Communicate with State, Local and Federal agencies.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with at least seven years of related experience.
International Code Council (ICC) Building Official; and
Valid Driver’s license.
