Accounting Technician (Finance Clerk), City of Gaffney
Performs routine clerical and administrative work. Processes, calculates and/or computes various monthly and quarterly reports.
Collects payments for taxes, licenses, and other revenue sources from walk-in customers and mail-in payments; posts to accounts including payments for taxes, licenses, and other transactions. Collects payments and posts to the appropriate accounts.
Works under the general supervision of the Finance Director. Performs other related duties as required.
High school diploma or GED equivalent with additional technical classes in business, bookkeeping, or other related fields is required.
Two years of experience in bookkeeping, customer service, clerical support, or related field, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; some knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Must be proficient with computers and have a working knowledge of Microsoft.
