Chris joined the Association in 2019 as a public safety loss control consultant. He provides loss control support for the Association's two risk management programs – the SC Municipal Insurance Trust and the SC Municipal Insurance and Risk Financing Fund. Chris has 21 years of experience in public safety including the Camden Police Department, Kershaw County Sheriff's office, and most recently as a special investigator at the Office of the Attorney General where he also served as a firearms instructor. He received an associate degree in arts and criminal justice from the University of South Carolina-Lancaster and his bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina.
