Graduates of the Risk Management Institute were recognized at the annual SCMIT and SCMIRF members’ meeting on November 13. The institute provided those employees responsible for risk management with an opportunity to gain more of an understanding of their responsibilities, broaden their skill set, expand their peer network and identify resources to help solve local challenges. Participants completed eight classes over two years at various locations around the state.

Some of the topics covered in the institute include employment liability, driving safety, public works risk management, fire policies, special events liability and public safety. To complete the institute, individuals must participate in eight classes over a two-year period.
