Risk Management Services is pleased to announce the following promotions.

Cheryl Bennett, SCMIT senior claims adjuster

Cheryl Bennett was promoted to full-time senior claims adjuster. Bennett was hired as a part time adjuster in 2018. Before joining the Municipal Association, she worked for the State Accident Fund as a claims adjuster. Before that, she served as a legal assistant in a law firm and worked for the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission. Bennett has over twenty-two years of claims adjusting experience.

Terri Camp, loss control consultant

Terri Camp accepted the position of loss control consultant. Camp joined the Municipal Association in 2014 as a claims analyst and managed the employment and labor law hotline and catastrophic property and liability claims. She is a graduate of Columbia College and has been a licensed, multiline adjuster for 31 years. Camp has worked in the legal industry as a paralegal and in the insurance industry as a staff and independent adjuster. She has extensive experience that includes litigation in the trucking and transportation industry, state and federal government tort matters, insurance fraud investigations, medical malpractice, product liability and wrongful death cases. Before her employment with the Municipal Association, Camp was a senior consultant with the state Insurance Reserve Fund.        

Tony DesChamps, SCMT claims analyst

Tony DesChamps was promoted to the position of SCMIT claims analyst. Previously, DesChamps worked as a SCMIT senior claims adjuster with the RMS claims department. He has more than 27 years of experience as a workers' compensation claims adjuster with the last three years managing high exposure claims in the Resolution Claims Unit for QBE North America for the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. DesChamps obtained a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of South Carolina.

Meredith Kaiser, underwriting manager

Meredith Kaiser accepted the position of underwriting manager. Kaiser joined the Municipal Association in 2009 and served as a loss control consultant. She has more than 16 years of experience in the insurance field and earned an associate degree in risk management for public entities. She has a bachelor's degree in biology from the College of Charleston. Kaiser serves on the board of the South Carolina Public Risk Management Association.
