The SC Municipal Insurance Trust and the SC Municipal Insurance and Risk Financing Fund will hold their annual members meeting on November 12 in Columbia. The brochure and registration are available online. The registration deadline is November 5.

The meeting will include a presentation on the risk management aspects of North Augusta’s Riverside Village development and Hartsville’s Neptune Island Waterpark. It will end with a lunch presentation by safety advocate and inspirational speaker Billy Parker.

Risk Management Services offers free training sessions for the SC Municipal Insurance Trust and SC Municipal Insurance and Risk Financing Fund members. A public works training session will take place December 4 in Columbia.

Training is imperative to equip municipal staff members with the skills they need to work safely and mitigate municipal risk. Training session topics come about through claims evaluation, by needs identified by staff or by member request. Members will receive email registration notifications six weeks before the dates below.
