The SC General Assembly met in regular session this week. The House of Representatives worked through bills on the calendar, while the Ways and Means Committee continued meeting in subcommittee to discuss the state budget.  

The Senate approved the legislation that ends the requirement for a certificate of need for hospitals and other healthcare providers, and began debate on the Compassionate Care Act, the bill that legalizes medical marijuana in the state.
