 Steps for potential graduates

If you are on track to graduate from the Municipal Elected Officials Institute by completing the seven required courses by the end of the day on Tuesday, January 19, you may send a headshot photo to the Municipal Association to have your name and photo included in a graduation video and to have a press release sent to your local newspaper. Any official completing all requirements after January 19 will be included with the summer graduates during the Association's Annual Meeting. The Association will verify all graduates before publishing.

Graduate photos

  • The photo submission deadline is Friday, January 22.
  • Email the JPEG photo to Urica Floyd at ufloyd@masc.sc or upload it to Urica Floyd
  • Include your name and municipality with the photo.
  • The photo size should be at least 1MB.
  • Choose a photo similar to the example photo to the right.
  • The photo should show minimal distractions in the background and be well lit – indoors or outdoors.
  • Avoid full body shots, and provide a clean photo focused on only the head and shoulders.
