Senior Customer Service Representative, City of Columbia

Full time, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Provides information at the counter, by telephone, and through correspondence in response to routine questions regarding building ordinances and codes, contractor licensing, and building permit application process and procedures.
Assists the public in completing building permit applications and other necessary forms by reviewing building permit applications for completeness, accepting plan documents for permit processing, and accurately calculating fees for building, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical permits.
Issues permits after they have received the appropriate required interdepartmental review.
High school diploma or GED.
Three years of relevant prior experience.
May be required to type 30 corrected wpm.
