Full time, Rotating Shift
Patrol the city limits of New Ellenton to deter and detect crime; respond to calls for service; and enforce all local, state and federal laws to include traffic violations, property crimes, crimes against person, and crimes against businesses.
Bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community by developing community partnerships and engaging in problem solving to proactively address the immediate conditions that give rise to public safety issues such as social disorder and fear of crime.
Serve arrest warrants, subpoenas, and other law enforcement documents; present cases and testify in courts of law; and engage in special events.
Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid S.C. Driver's License, and a High School Diploma/GED. Must have (or have the ability to attain) certification as a law enforcement officer.
Must possess great decision-making skills, handle stressful situations, be physical fit for duty, embody integrity, dependability, and objectivity.
$16.00 to $19.50 an hour
