Bicycle/Pedestrian Transportation Planner, City of Columbia
Position Category: Planning, GIS
Coordinates the implementation of the City’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan;
Coordinates and advises City staff and regional and state agencies with regard to planning for, design of, and implementation and delivery of urban active transportation projects and programs and
Develops and/or assists in the development and implementation of land use, growth management, infrastructure and other plans to meet the City’s needs related to transportation; evaluates land use proposals, development designs (site plans), subdivision plans, etc., for compliance with recommendations of the City’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan and codes and regulations related thereto.
Bachelor’s degree in transportation planning, transportation engineering, urban planning, or civil engineering with an emphasis on active transportation or a closely related field;
Three (3) years of relevant prior experience to include active transportation and a
Valid South Carolina Class “D” Driver’s License.
$51,961.47 - $66,250.95 annually
