City Administrator, City of Goose Creek
Position Category: Administration
The City Administrator manages the day-to-day operations
of the City of Goose Creek (pop.45,000) in accordance with South Carolina law
and City ordinances. This position oversees a budget of approximately $42
million and over 335 employees in nine departments. The City offers competitive compensation,

Oversees the operations of all departments including Administration, Economic Development, Municipal Court, Planning & Zoning, Police, Fire, Public Works, Recreation and the Crowfield Golf Course. Executes the policies, directives, and legislative actions of City Council.
Works and consults with department directors concerning budget preparations and prepares annual budget for City Council’s review.
A bachelor's degree in political science, public administration or closely related field required; a master’s degree in public administration or closely related field is preferred.
At least six years of increasingly responsible government management experience required; three years of supervisory experience preferred.
Residency within the city limits is required. Approved relocation plan required within six months of hire.
