Professional Engineer, Lancaster County Water & Sewer District
Position Category: Engineering
Full time, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday with after hours work required from time to time.
Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests and aerial photographs, soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and coordinate the design of water distribution and sewer collection systems.
Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data.
Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports specifications, plans, construction schedules, permit applications, and project designs.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in environmental and/or civil or mechanical engineering and eight years’ experience in the water and wastewater field.
South Carolina Professional Engineer license is required. Preferred certifications include an “A” Wastewater Collection and “A” Water Distribution or the ability to obtain certifications within 36 months of hire. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
