Program Coordinator II – SC Fire Academy, Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation

Position Hours:
Full time, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Job Duties:
  • Supervises the State Fire Hazardous Materials and Rescue Programs, as assigned, to include student registration, billing and preparation of customer contracts, and submission of student payments after course completion. Teaches as a lead and assistant instructor for SCFA with specific focus on Hazardous Materials and Rescue programs, both on and off-site. Job requires wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and/or the use of a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), entering burn buildings with smoke present, fighting live fires on training props (both in and outside), raising and lower

  • A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. A combination of education, relevant training, and experience may be considered as substitution for a bachelor's degree upon approval by the Division of State Human Resources. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays in inclement weather and in hazardous environments. Overnight travel and the ability to drive a state vehicle. Ability to climb a ladder, lift objects over 100 pounds, wear PPE (to include fit testing for respirator use and successful completion of required OSHA compliant medical physical), and work within IDLH env

Pay Info:
$40,759 - $58,086 annually
