E-911 Communications Director, McCormick County

Position Category: Public Safety

Position Hours:
, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, some weekend work possible

Job Duties:

Qualifications:
  • Candidate must possess an Associate’s Degree in Public Administration, fire or police management, or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible professional/administrative work experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this position, including two (2) years of management/supervisory experience is required; or any equivalent combination of related experience and education which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the work.
  • Management experience in the 911 emergency communications or public safety field preferred. Must possess a clear criminal history. South Carolina Driver’s License and good driving record.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of certifications commensurate with this position includes, APCO Public Safety Tele communicator PST 1 Course Instructor, APCO Fire Communication Instructor, APCO Emergency Medical Dispatch Instructor, CPR Certification Instructor, NCIC Instructor (Within 1 Year), NIMS Courses: FEMA 100, 200, 700, 701, 702, 703, 704 and 800, South Carolina Criminal Justice Basic Communications Academy, APCO Communication Training Officer Instructor and APCO Supervisor Instructor.
