E-911 Communications Director, McCormick County
Position Category: Public Safety
, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, some weekend work possible
Candidate must possess an Associate’s Degree in Public Administration, fire or police management, or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible professional/administrative work experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this position, including two (2) years of management/supervisory experience is required; or any equivalent combination of related experience and education which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the work.
Management experience in the 911 emergency communications or public safety field preferred. Must possess a clear criminal history.
South Carolina Driver’s License and good driving record.
Successful completion and maintenance of certifications commensurate with this position includes, APCO Public Safety Tele communicator PST 1 Course Instructor, APCO Fire Communication Instructor, APCO Emergency Medical Dispatch Instructor, CPR Certification Instructor, NCIC Instructor (Within 1 Year), NIMS Courses: FEMA 100, 200, 700, 701, 702, 703, 704 and 800, South Carolina Criminal Justice Basic Communications Academy, APCO Communication Training Officer Instructor and APCO Supervisor Instructor.
