The Municipal Association provides training to local government planning commissions, boards of zoning appeals and architectural review, as well as staff who directly or indirectly work with planning officials.
The training is mandatory for local government planning and zoning officials and staff. The consequence for not attending this mandatory training is severe. An appointed official can be removed from office, and a professional employee can be suspended or dismissed.
Orientation Training
The six-hour curriculum is provided in one-hour segments on DVD.
Continuing Education Training
Two 90-minute DVDs are available that satisfy the three-hour continuing education requirement.
